Sneak peek

I have become a crafting fool. With limited TV channels, lack of local entertainment being a country bumpkin and all, and needing an outlet I have taken to quilting. I enjoy samplers, not blankets (all my kids have their quilts why make more). I loved our Dr. office in Logan they always had seasonal quilts hanging on the walls. I aspire to someday be that good. For now small samplers will do.

Tonight, I splurged a little and took advantage of Joann's midnight madness this week. Everything I purchased saved me $2/yrd or 30% off. I was super excited!! I had a few projects in my mind and with the savings I was able to use some of my tip money to buy myself hours of entertainment and a few gifts to give at Christmas. The kids were actually rather pleasant and didn't tear up the store too much. Usually they are screaming and running up and down the isles. Tonight they stuck to all the Halloween isles and each picked out a very discounted dress up piece. These are the fabrics for the Christmas sampler I plan on giving to someone (I'm not telling who and ruin the surprise). I think they are great, hopefully so will the recipient. I will say help you envision it. It has snow man on it and these are for their mitts, hats, and gloves, and stuff.
Anyone who has been in my master bedroom will know that I don't have a headboard. So I have had it in my mind for several years now to remedy that with something artistic to hang on the wall. I found two really cute patterns and think I am going to try and merge the two together somehow. My bedding is brown with sage green, gold, blue, and off white accents. I saw this material a few weeks back and was looking for a way to use it and afford it. Gotta love sales and online free patterns!!! Look for the finished product in the new year.

Daughter you are becoming very domestic which is something I never thought I would say. Especially about a young lady who took 2 wrecks and built herself a working and well used automobile. You go girl.

Dang girl! I always thought you had some insane talent, but this is awesome! I can't wait to see how they turn out, which means you'll have to post pictures afterward so we can all drool and wish we had our own Chrissy masterpiece to hang in our homes.

You sure have become crafty these days. How fun. I also didn't realize you have moved from Logan. I bet you miss it! I still do after 8 years away.
