blessings...

Me working outside the home has provided our family blessings.

Jake has been given the opportunity to focus his energies on the kids without my nagging. They are able to do fun things mom would otherwise nix in the planning stages. They love their daddy time! Today they played with the wind. The took a sheet and caught sail with the wind. They ate Ramen noodles and cheese (to add nutrients) for dinner. They watched a daddy movie- Mysterious Island. They colored and just enjoyed their time together. Jake even got Liza to tame her whining today- it has gotten a tad out of hand lately.

At the end of the night, when I walk thru the door I am greeted by three happy faces excited to see me home. I am able to feel like I left the house and accomplished things without spending any money- I actually earned a bit :P As well as feel like they actually missed me- and truth be told I missed them.

He's going to do a great job with the kids while you're at work! Bravo Jake!

Isn't it funny how you can offer your kids food 100 times, but the first time they get it from somewhere else, they love it? B would never eat grilled cheese sandwiches. Then one day I went to pick him up from Cansas' house, and she had made one for him. He was so excited to tell me how good his sandwich was. "Mom! Do you know how to make grilled cheese sandwiches?" he asked me. I just smiled and bit my lip and tried to be grateful that his food interestes were branching out...
