Military ball/St Nicholas

This weekend we went to the military ball for the ROTC program at USU. Jake bought me a new formal, and got himself all dressed up. I can't wait to see the pictures the professional took, but here is a sneak peak. Doesn't my man clean up nice!

On the 5th we always put out our shoes like the Germans do and St. Nicholas comes and fills them. We are desugarizing our children. They eat so much candy, we have put a temporary ban on candy in our house. So lucky for us ST Nic followed suit and only gave us toys:) Here are some random photos from that morning.

Had I known I would have celebrated this holiday also, but I would have wanted some candy. You and Jake both look great!

Chrissy, you look mighty fine there girl. :) Looks like the evening was fun. I wish I had something I could get all decked out for like that.

Leaving your shoes out to be filled is such a fun idea. I've thought about it having a German heritage and all, but I seem to be only German enough to do New Years cleaning instead of Spring cleaning. Looks like the kids were pleased with what they got! Toys are better than candy any day. :)

Off the subject, how do you get a picture in the header. Every time I try it is too big???

I resize it. It takes a lot of playing with. I can't remember what that one is
