Yet another Birthday

Happy Birthday Jake!
I fell in love with this man eight years ago, it was the red hair and blue eyes. We dated 14 months, 7 of those weeks we actually spent in one another's company(split up a few weeks here and a few there). I had no idea who I was marrying, I got so much more than I expected.

Jake may suffer from "foot in mouth disease" but there is so much more to him than that. The first thing I realized after I married him was, for someone of amazing physical strength (he really is buff, doesn't look it but he is) he is so soft and tender. He never yells and never uses his strength to harm. My love for him has grown more than I could have thought possible eight years ago.

This man may never be able to sit still, stay on topic, he doesn't eat chocolate, he wants to be accepted by everyone, and is a constant match maker but he loves his family, teaches his kids things I can't get thru to them, he makes me laugh, he will serve anyone without even thinking, he is honest and he makes the cutest kids.

This past month he has won second place in a writing contest, organized a 5K run that raised over $1000 for charity, pulled off A's in almost all of his classes, nursed Daniel after his surgery, dealt with my mood swings, started to organize the renovation of the American Legion building in town and got handsomer along the way. He amazes me every day.

Happy Birthday Jake! Love you

What a wonderful tribute to a great guy. You forgot to mention that one of Jake's greatest talents is choosing the perfect wife for himself. Love and Birthday greetings from the Hawkins'!

Happy Birthday Jake! You are looking good. Jake has definitely grown on me too. He can surprise you at first, but the more you are around him, the more you've got to love him. He is such a go getter, and that is something I really admire. I am glad you two have found each other, because I am pretty amazed by Chrissy as well. :)

I loved reading that- it is so nice to read loving tributes and to learn so much about my cousin at the same time- what a busy/cool guy!

Now seriously, how much did he pay you to say all that Chrissy. Just kidding. We love you Jake and are glad that you are part of the family. Life would not be the same with out you.
