Rattlesnake Fastival

We attend the Rattlesnake festival in Apache, OK this weekend. If desired you can purchase a four day hunting license and go Rattlesnake hunting (not my idea of fun!). The have captured rattlesnakes on display (we were oblivious to this and happily so), a good sized fair and lots of vendors. It reminded so much of the small German fests. We loved just walking around. We attended a Pow Wow, which the kids got kid of bored at. Daniel did not enjoy the reverberation from the drums at all! He stated at one point it was hurting his privates and needed to stand outside for a moment. Liza enjoy my limited knowledge of costumes, materials, and the reasoning behind war dances. Unfortunately I have little knowledge of protocol, so I was unable to get some good photos of the Pow Wow (I didn't want to take flash photography or get in the way). We ended the night of course with rides and then some apple pizza. Good family time!
