We soaked up the extra time as a family this week. Liza finished her tutoring last week, and soccer was canceled due to the rain. The kids build forts out of the furniture and sat down quietly to watch a movie. They kipped over a chair to make a canopy bed, and gathered pretzels for snacks, sharing ever so nicely and being ever so sweet and quiet. One of those moments I want to remember on those ever so trying days. Definitely a replay on the eternal DVR of family movies in the life here after!
Signs of warmer weather are here. My hibiscus bushes are blooming and the humming birds are back. My blackberry bushes are showing signs of life, and now i just wait on my transplanted rose bush (things look grim here). The corn has sprouted, as well as the zucchini, the carrots, a few onions, and pumpkins. Looks like I am replanting the watermelon, peppers, some more corn, and some more carrots. I love this time of year when you nourish a small seed and watch it grow. Hopefully we can keep up to the garden this year, it is a bit bigger than the ones I have had in the past.

Canceled soccer due to rain??? We would never get to play if they did that here!!Ha Ha. I agree send me some warm weather.
