Obsessions...

So lately we have had a few obsessions around here...
Jake-has copied all of our movies onto the hard drives and linked them to our TV so we have movies on demand without the chance of kids scratching them all up. I have never watched so many movies in my life as he has rediscovered old movies.

Daniel- is always a super hero jumping off of furniture, running fast like Zoom, shooting spiderwebs like spider man, and no Roecker can live without the force and a light saber!

Eliza-using all the family resources to supply rides, over night stays, and many other inconveniences for her friends. We have nixed must of them and apologized to the parents of these girls but you don't trust a seven year old to do the family planning! HELLO talk to the mom or dad that is going to do the driving, hosting the sleepover, or letting your child keep an expensive piece of jewelry!! With the squashing of all her plans she has become obsessed with wining!!

Rainey- every morning pulls out Daniels Undies and says "Daniel's panties?!" He is in no way ready for them but man he likes to wear them. So every morning we wear undies. It means a lot of candies for rewards, scheduling potty breaks every 30 minutes and drinking lots of water. He has yet to say he has to pee on his own but he does pee on the potty and keep the undies clean.

ME- I want everything to be clean, in order, and planned. Of course life happens and I have little control but I feel I have more control now than in the past month, thanks to my very lax work schedule!

What a great update! The one about Eliza sounds all too familiar. Some friends of ours taught us a good way to stop that. They tell there kids that if they don't ask before hand or if they ask in front of the friend or the friend's parents then the answer is automatically "no". Seems to be working...

We also have put all movies on a hard drive and it sure has saved our DVD's. The kids were ruining so many!

Happy New Year!
