Last day with the kids

Well back to military life...
Jake is off to Fort Lewis, WA for a month, the first of three training camps he has to complete before he goes back to real life in the army next fall. In preparation we have been busy doing fun projects and having fun.

This past week we have rearranged our house. Liza is old enough she wants her own room. So we moved Liza into the smaller room and Rainey into the bigger room with Daniel. The first thing Liza did was yell at Daniel, "Get out of my room!" He ran to his room and slammed his bedroom door.

We painted Liza's old training bike for Daniel. It no longer looks so girly. He picked out the colors and Liza, Jake and I painted during nap time one time this week. (before and after pics)

Today we let the kids decide what they wanted to do with Daddy before he leaves. We rode our bikes to Walmart to help daddy buy the last minute things he needed for his trip. We went swimming-definitely not something I will brave alone while Jake is gone. We then went out for a hike up Green Canyon, daddy was a pack mule as always (notice the picture below). It was a fun packed day. It was all about spending time with the kids.

Not that much longer and we will be there!!! Yeah!!! I sent you an e-mail that said we will be leaving a few days later due to a ward camp out and are hoping to be at your place on Monday the 23rd, instead of the original Saturday. Also if Jake wants to meet for dinner or church before we leave tell him to give us a call. We live about twenty minutes from Lewis and would love to see him.

Fort Lewis Huh? That is right by where we live. About 30 min. Let Jake know that if he needs anything, dinner, anything just give us a call. Please e-mail me I don't have your email address, and I will give you my address and phone number for him.

It is kinda like a basic training... They get limited phone access and are on lock down. He really wanted to see a few other people he knew where there but he was able to even let them pick him up at the airport. Sorry!
