Shark girl

On Wednesday I had a tooth pulled. Not the funnest thing to do during your week of vacation. But it was good to have Jake off to tend the kids and baby me for the two days I was on loopy drugs. I asked to keep the tooth, and was given a cool little box to put it in. Liza put it under my pillow and then Daniel stole it and it never made it back under my pillow until tonight, where hopefully the tooth fairy will leave me some money to reimburse me for the dentist bill ;P

Thursday night while brushing the kids teeth Liza wanted me to inspect her teeth like I do the boys teeth after brushing. I noticed a second row of teeth. Liza is 7yrs old and hasn't lost a single tooth. Not that I am complaining- hopefully that means they will be last longer. She has two of her adult teeth growing in behind her baby teeth- just like a shark was the comment both Jake and his mother made. After a reassuring phone call to the dentist he just encouraged me to have her wiggle them a little more, and if they hadn't fallen out by the first of the New Year to bring her back in to see him.During church today we sat next to each other and I nudged her telling her to wiggle her teeth. She told me to do it, so I did (totally being reverent and adding to the spirit of the meetings I know). I had that baby moving. Then it started to bleed a bit, I stopped and she started. In ten minuted that baby was OUT! She lost her first tooth. I told her to start on the other one next to it that is also loose. She kindly told me one per day. Jake tried to talk her into it saying the Tooth fairy would pay double (ha ha), but she wouldn't go for it. She is hoping to pull it out at school tomorrow so she can get a treasure box holder for it.
What is the going rate for a tooth these days?

I have no idea what the rate is for a tooth, but I hope that fairy has a bit fat wad of cash for your tooth.

Oh, and I went to check out shark girls blog again, but I didn't bookmark it like I thought. Can you send me the link again?

Oh, yeah, and can you imagine what the boys were doing while mom and Eliza were being so reverent in church? Dad had his hands full.

I give Rhiannon a Susan B. Anthony $ coin. It makes me feel kind of like I am giving her a loonie ... which somehow makes Me enjoy the experience more.

Come on DAD! You're there to step up to plate when mom is super busy doing important things, in church being oh so reverent or not. Isn't that the way it goes?

Did she wiggle out the 2nd one at school today and get her tooth holder? The going rate for a tooth in the Tyler home is $1...but it has to be a clean one!! Otherwise 50cents!
