2008-Hopes of a good year...

After a rough December 2007 we were hopeful for a good start to the new year.

Dec was emotionally, and physically demanding month for us. We have dealt with all that and are on the path to a much happier US. We have been excited about all the unknowns of 2008, also a move, a trip to Hawaii during spring break, Daniel being old enough to attend preschool, our new church callings....the list is endless. What we weren't ready for was this past weeks scares. We are learning to love every moment we have with our family! Spiritually we are preparing for whatever the Lord wants us to endure.

My niece has been under the weather. Their family is waiting on results to hopefully rule out Celiac disease.

Our dog of almost 7 years has been diagnosed with epilepsy and is on life time drugs and bi annual blood tests. A costly ($) diagnoses!

During an annual physical my dad's Dr was a bit concerned. After a few tests he is facing more Dr appointments. The concern is an enlarged Liver and a problem with his pituitary gland. So we all sit a bit anxious for his next appointment and the out come.

Daniel, hasn't been himself since Christmas. He has no energy, no appetite, and sleeps ALL the time. The Dr scared us with terms like Leukemia, Diabetes, and Thyroid problems. Luckily for us we didn't have to wait long for the biggest, scariest words to be eliminated. It is NOT Leukemia, or Diabetes. We have a week to wait on the Thyroid. If it comes back negative he faces more tests.

We have felt stronger this past few weeks and now we realize it might be due to the Lord preparing us for a year of trials. We are still optimistic that the Lord has us firm within his grip!

Kynna, Moby, Dad, and Daniel are even more in our prayers this week! Please keep them in your prayers too?!

Trials are never easy no matter when size they come in. Not that I've seen much of you in recent years, but I am certain you are still the strong and steadfast woman I knew and loved all those years ago.

Hang in there girl. What ever happens you can do it with God beside you. I'll be thinking of all your family and praying not just for those who are ill, but for strength for those of you who are there to support them. Love ya.

I guess I am truly the Daddy. I didn't know about Moby and I only found out about Daniel last night. New Church callings are cool. Besides its the liver not the kidney and my doctor has me going to see the best 2 speicalist in the business. Unfortunately one is in Calgary and both are extremely busy. I just hope that the waits for appointments aren't too long and even though it wasn't mentioned that scary "C" word is still a possibility knowing the family history. Still I am not making my bucket list yet. Love you guys.

Thanks all!
Tigger as if I should be complaining, you have had a lot more trials resently than I have. I do hope however the good Lord is blessing you ten fold for the past few years.
Thanks Kate we love you too. Liza has been asking if we can visit the Lady that made her necklace. She wears it ALL the time. We will have to coordinate with you the next time we are down so she can say thank you.

Dad I changed my mistake. I knew what I was trying to say :) I am in charge of the 8 & 9yr old activity day girls. All the girls I have taught in primary. I am excited cause I can stay involved with them and still go to RS.

I love you, and I wish I could be there right now, but I can't. But I also know the Lord put things in our life for a reason, and so all we can do is trust in the Lord since he knows what is best for all of us. But I love you, and I know everything will be already, You know why because we are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us. And us Hovan's have some pretty sweet people looking over us right now. Not to name any But Big Papa, He is looking out for us. Well I love you, I am thankful for a GREAT Family and a eternal one at that:D
