Whirlwind week

Jake got home two Fridays ago. It is good to have him home but has been an adjustment. I have yet to have a few hours to myself. Rainey has taken a bit longer than expected to get use to dad being home. It has hurt Jake's feelings as the other kids have never had a problem adjusting to his coming and goings.

We left a week ago yesterday Canada. My girlfriend, Alanna was sealed to her family. She and I have been friends since the first week of grade 7. We have been thru alot of ups and downs. I am so proud of her and the choices her and her family have made to get where they are. Congrats Al and Brendan!!

So we spent the weekend in Canada ( at the end of which Liza, Jake and Daniel were sick) and then drove back home. Now we are prepping for school to start next week. It is weird not only prepping Jake for school but Liza also. Paperwork for two, books for two, clothes for two...all the fun stuff. We are so excited for Liza's first day of school to arrive. We met the teacher last night and know she is the right teacher for her. Mrs Peterson has so much energy, and isn't about desk learning, she is more hands on and learning thru play. The good Lord has blessed Liza with the right teacher for her.

We are now all healthy and caught up on all the laundry and projects I had for Jake during his five week absence. We are happy to be home and looking forward to all the fun of the next month.

Oh ya, My sister just found out she is expecting another baby girl the end of December. Way excited! This is fitting with my parents pattern for grandkids Girl(Liza), Boy(D), Girl(Makynna), Boy(Rainey) and now Girl(the new baby).

More pictures of our trip to follow in the days to come.

Stephanie I haven't forgotten you tagged me...I will catch up
